Neck FRAME is a conceptual design for a low-profile neck protector that adheres to the skin. The designer suffered a head/neck injury in 2013 and came up with this concept to minimize the severity of sports-related head/neck injuries. It is designed to absorb force put on the cervical spine by using a flexible carbon-based compound.
In 2014 this design was shortlisted in the Oakley ‘Disruptive by Design’ competition. Read more at: http://andrewm.cc/neck-frame/
