With 25% of Lesotho’s people HIV positive, lifesaving treatment comes from mobile app/traveling clinics

The Vodacom Foundation, USAID, Elton John AIDS Foundation, ViiV Healthcare and The ELMA Foundation combined to develop a mobile app, a mobile payment service (to assist in transportation to appointments) and traveling clinics to help HIV-positive women and children in remote areas of Lesotho get medication and support.

The program has Text to Treatment, a money payment service to assist in transportation to health clinic, and mobile treatment and identification clinics. It also provides women access to programs for the prevention of mother to child transmission (PMTCT).
